About our Camps

The HCL mission is to provide a wide range of activities to suit all as we understand each child is an individual. Throughout each day we offer the children a wide range of sports and activities that has all bases covered!

As well as offering a huge range of activities we also run "themed days" which could be anything from gymnastics by our resident gymnastics coach to water fun and everything in between!

What to expect

We pride ourselves in providing a safe, fun and friendly days out where kids can can have a great time and express themselves whilst parents have complete peace of mind knowing their child is having a fun & safe day.

Camps are suitable for children 4 to 11 years old. The HCL ethos is to provide a huge variety of different sports, games and activities each day with the emphasis on fun! Regular themed days/afternoons are a staple of our camps and range from Football World Cups, Talent Shows, Arts and Crafts, Easter and Halloween specials, plus Christmas parties and everything in between!

Registration 9:00-9:30am
Camp Rules and Fun Games 9:30-10:15am
Sport based activity 10:15-10:30am
Break time 10:30am-11:15am
Arts & Crafts 11:15am-12:00
Free play 12:00-1:00pm
Lunch 1:00pm-1:45pm
Themed activities 1:45pm-2:30pm
Arts & Crafts 2:30pm-2:50pm
Tidy up, Review of the day and Presentations 3:15pm

HCL Activity Camps Ltd are proud to deliver the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in Essex.

We partner with Active Essex and Havering HAF to ensure as many eligible children as possible can access our HAF camps. These camps are funded by the Department for Education and the primary target audience is children in receipt of benefits related free school meals (BRFSM). So, if your child is in receipt of BRFSM, they automatically qualify for funded places. There is also some additional scope for children from low-income working families, or recommended by the school to qualify for funded places.

The HAF camps are usually combined with our paid camps so everyone experiences the same great variety of activities including different sports, games and activities each day with the emphasis on fun, engaging, skills-based sessions. Regular themed days/afternoons are a staple of our camps and range from Football World Cups, Talent Shows, Arts and Crafts, Easter and Halloween specials, plus Christmas parties and everything in between!

We also build a nutritional education component into these camps to help the children understand ways they can help to keep themselves healthy.
