What should my child bring to sessions?
Children should wear comfortable sports clothing, suitable footwear, and bring a drink of water. Any sport-specific equipment can be advised when booking.
Are your coaches qualified and DBS checked?
Yes, our coaches are qualified, experienced, and DBS checked. Your child’s safety, development, and enjoyment are always our priority.
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple and can be done through our website onto our booking and payment partner PEBBLE or by contacting us directly. We will provide all the details you need before your child’s first session.
What age groups do you coach?
We offer coaching for 4-11 year olds, from young beginners to older children. Sessions are tailored to suit each age and ability level.
Do you accept Tax-Free Childcare payments?
Yes, we accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. If you would like to use this payment method, please contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the process.
What if my child has additional needs?
Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to support your child and make the sessions as inclusive and enjoyable as possible.
Does my child need experience to join?
No, beginners are always welcome. We create a supportive environment where every child can learn, improve, and enjoy taking part.
Are your camps OFSTED registered?
Yes, our clubs are OFSTED registered and will meet all requirements of this registration.
HCL Activity Camps - Sports & Activity Camp Questions
What ages are your sports and activity camps for?
Our camps are designed for children 4-11, with activities tailored to suit different ages and abilities.
What activities do children take part in?
Children enjoy a variety of sports, games, team activities, and arts and crafts throughout the day to keep them active and engaged. We also offer themed afternoons depending on the season of the camp.
Do children need to be sporty to attend?
Not at all. Our camps are open to all children, whether they are very active, complete beginners, or simply want to have fun and make new friends. We offer a wide range of activities for children that are not sporty.
What should my child bring to camp?
Children should bring comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, a packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. We will let you know if anything extra is needed.
Do you accept Tax-Free Childcare payments for camps?
Yes, we accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. Please contact us if you would like help using this payment method.
How do I book a HAF-funded place?
If your child is eligible for the HAF programme, you can book a funded place using the booking information or voucher code provided to you. If your child attends a school in the Havering area, you will need to book with the EEQU booking system, if your child attends a school in Essex then you will need to book on the HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES need help with the process, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Do you supply food at your HAF camps?
Yes, we supply the children with a school standared HOT meal and if they do not like what is on offer we have a cold option on offer everyday, we also supply fresh fruit daily.
What is the HAF programme?
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides eligible children with access to funded holiday clubs, giving them the opportunity to enjoy fun activities, stay active, and receive healthy meals during the school holidays.

What is wraparound care?
Wraparound care provides childcare before and after the school day in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
What times does your wraparound care run?
Our wraparound care sessions run before school and after school. Exact times can be confirmed when booking.
Who can attend wraparound care?
Wraparound care is available for children within our eligible age range. Please contact us to check availability for your child’s year group.
What activities do children do during wraparound care?
Children can enjoy a range of activities including games, crafts, sports, free play, and quiet time, depending on the session.
Do you provide food and drinks?
Yes, we provide light snacks and drinks during sessions. Details will be shared with parents before attendance.
How do I book wraparound care?
Booking is simple and is done through our booking system PEBBLE, this can be found on ourwebsite.
Can I book regular sessions as well as one-off sessions?
Yes, parents can book block sessions or adhock sessions, subject to availability.
Can my child attend wraparound care as well as sports coaching?
Yes, where available, children may be able to attend both. We are happy to explain how sessions can work together.
